The Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technique is used for the ultrasensitive detection of bio-chemical molecules as well as for studying biological binding kinetics. SPR has potential for various in-field sensor applications, and this innovation supports the miniaturization of waveguide-based SPR biosensors.
