OrbisIP signs strategic partnership with Sydney based Eden Technology

Australian and British Firms in Strategic Partnership – Eden Technology PTY Ltd and OrbisIP Ltd

(Sydney, NSW and London, England – 9 June, 2008) There is a growing requirement in the legal and law enforcement communities to use technology efficiently in the preparation, presentation and management of large evidence. There is a secondary requirement to produce accurate, admissible, timely and cost effective forensic analysis of computer equipment that can be used in a court of law to support a criminal prosecution. Eden Technology and OrbisIP share the view that there is a market for innovative technology that can meet these challenges and have agreed to work together to bring GEMS and DIAS, two of Eden Technology’s product portfolios, to the European market.Eden Technology has been successfully selling its GEMS Evidence Management technology to a number of Government and commercial customers in Australia and South Africa. While the DIAS forensic technology is new to market both in Australia and Europe, the technology has a deep pedigree as it was originally developed by the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO). DSTO is the Australian Government’s lead agency charged with applying science and technology to protect and defend Australia and its national interests. DIAS is manufactured under licence from Commonwealth of Australia represented by Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO)

    About GEMS
GEMS is an advanced application that improves the efficiency of any investigative team in any type of investigation. Using a familiar Windows user interface, GEMS facilitates full document imaging and storage enabling investigators to work with electronic copies of evidence therefore minimising the handling and risk of loss of original materials. The power of GEMS enables any form of evidence acquired or generated to be managed and quickly culled leaving only that relevant to the case. The resultant efficiency gains made by investigative teams using GEMS are substantial and easily quantifiable.About DIASDIAS is a computer forensics application which provides the latest functionality in the analysis and interpretation of digital data. It features an extensive range of digital forensic tools which can be quickly applied to produce intuitive, interactive outputs and results to aid in the investigative process. Running on either Windows or Linux based platforms it is a comprehensive tool set allowing users to quickly perform a number of forensic tests on computer media.“From the beginning, we realised that OrbisIP could help us leverage our position as a fast growing defence orientated Australian technology business by helping us present and sell our technology into the European marketplace.” said Katrina Doring, Eden Technology CEO. “Through a positive partner relationship OrbisIP can assist us in generating long term revenues throughout Europe but also provide much welcome customer interaction and feedback for ongoing market requirements. Both companies have long standing relationships with International Government and Prime Contracting customers and we are looking forward to OrbisIP helping us extend our technology to the wider market.” “We are pleased to be working so closely with Eden Technology to help bring this innovative GEMS Evidence Management and DIAS Forensic tools to market in Europe.” said Peter Jaco, OrbisIP CEO. “Australia is well known for producing world class, technologically sophisticated defence and security technology.
